FREE Movies with FREE Popcorn and FREE Drink the First Saturday Night of Each Winter
Month in Lansing, Michigan

A FREE Movie Party is held the First Saturday night of
each month (October thru April) at 1617 S. Pennsylvania Ave. (1½ blocks
north of Mt. Hope Avenue in Lansing, Mich. – scroll
down for locator map). Each “party” includes two or three
movies; participants* may come for any one or all being screened that night.
Movies are projected on an eight-foot private-viewing-room screen. In
addition to FREE popcorn and FREE drink,
participants may bring their own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. The first movie will start at 6 p.m. Guests may arrive as early as 5:30. Hosts are Steve (Webservant for the Christian
Business Directory, an Internet Ministry with FREE
listings at www.LansingLink.com/cbd.htm online) and Driscilla (a Wellness Coach with McCourtie
Herbal Health). “We love movies and enjoy sharing them. We have
dedicated one Saturday each month with a set schedule of movies which others

May through September: the Monthly
FREE Movie Party will recess for the summer
months. Enjoy all the other recreational opportunities which Michigan offers during the warmer weather and longer days.

Saturday of October 2008.

 The new season of FRE Movies will begin with a triple feature of Goldie Hawn films. Goldie’s
first Big Screen role in “Cactus
Flower” earned her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.

Private Benjamin (1980)
 Unlucky
in love, Judy Benjamin finds herself in combat boots and fatigues. A
fish-out-of-water, she faces the rigors of basic training and the military’s
version of sexual harassment. This is Goldie Hawn humor as we know and

Cactus Flower (1970)
 A delightful
comedy sparked by crazy, mixed up situations and a kooky, Academy
Award-winning performance by Goldie Hawn. A womanizing dentist is
stringing along his ditzy mistress. As the situation gets complicated,
he also involves his no-nonsense nurse in a scheme to resolve his
problems. However, this only makes things worse. Goldie’s
co-star, Rick Lenz, was raised in Jackson,
Mich., and was a college colleague of FREE

touching comedy about a young, blind man determined to make a life for himself. Living in the apartment next door is an
eccentric aspiring actress. Their developing relationship threatens his
mother’s intrusions. The offer of a theatrical role for the young

The monthly Saturday Night FREE Movie Party is open to all who enjoy
sharing films with popular appeal; however, invited guests shall have seating

building is limited and should only be used by those planning to stay through
the last feature. Please pull all the way in. Recommend that
others park on Parkdale or Pershing and walk the short ½ block to the party.
