This Internet service is provided by members
from Bible-based, non-denominational, Christian or Church
of Christ congregations in
mid-Michigan which have roots in the American Restoration Movement.
That movement, which dates back to the late 1700s, has endeavored to move
Christian congregations away from cultural or dogmatic traditions and back to
Bible-inspired principles.
Some of the linked congregations and
institutions have served the Greater Lansing Area for more than 50 years,
with ministries constantly increasing and expanding to meet community needs.
The members of these local Christian congregations
have discovered the joy of growing together as Christians as well as
providing opportunities for all to seek a fully committed relationship with
Christ Jesus. All of the churches listed are open to anyone seeking
God's blessing, wishing to worship Him or desiring to learn more about God,
our Lord Jesus or The Holy Spirit.

  MAR 5 6:30 p.m. – Dustin Hoffman “Classic Comedies” FREE Movie Party in

The First Friday Night FREE Movie Party for
March will screen a Dustin Hoffman pair of comedies from his early
career. “Kramer vs. Kramer,” shown at 7 p.m., is actually a drama co-starring Meryl Streep, with lots of
comedic moments. Her role brought Streep her
first Oscar (Supporting Actress) and helped jump-start her early
career. At 9 p.m. it’s “Tootsie,”
co-starring Jessica Lange, Teri Garr and Sydney Pollack (who also directed
the film). Hoffman’s character can no longer get acting roles as a man,
so he decides to audition as a woman, with unexpected consequences! The
films are projected on a super-wide screen. In addition to the free
movies, there will be free popcorn and beverages. Participants may also
bring their own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. You may come for
either one or both of the films but must RSVP to ensure adequate seating

Lansing Christian Church, 6300

Euchre Nights are always “the more, the merrier” type events and are excellent
opportunities for inviting colleagues, friends and loved-ones to a FREE
fun activity. All skill levels welcome. You do not need to bring
a partner (players rotate). Non-players (potential players?) welcome to
come just for the fellowship and fun. Churches with five or more
players may compete for “Best Team” bragging rights! Bring your own

MAR 18 at 6 p.m. – Black &
Gold Celebration at Lansing
Christian School,
3405 Belle Chase Way, Lansing,
Mich. This will be an evening of
fun and charity on to raise $100,000 to help the Lansing Christian Foundation
provide tuition scholarships for the 2010-2011 school year.
The evening begins with a reception which features a silent auction and
student displays, then continues with a dinner and
program which includes a live auction. The cost is $45 per person or
